SOS Service in NH5

I travel frequently between Chennai and Hyderabad by bus. Everytime the bus stopped at Sulurpet for dinner, I wanted to click the picture of an orange colored box there but never did due to bad light. Last weekend, the bus stopped at some dhaba on my way to Chennai from Hyderabad in the Morning. I managed to click this picture. Yes, the orange box I was talking about was an SOS Emergency Phone.

I am not sure if they really work or not, but they are atleast there. I don’t even know if people are aware of what SOS is and how to use this piece of equipment.
