BLAH, BLAH, BLAH…..
March 17, 2008 by Balaji
After reading Adoholik’s post on Pulsar Mania, I thought even I would write something about this ad over the weekend. I was browsing channels yesterday like I always do and found a funny and SENSELESS ad on TV. Can you guess which one is it? Yes, I am talking about Headlines Today ad. The ad claims that all news channels read BLAH, BLAH, BLAH…… and they give Refreshingly Different news.
As far as I know, Headlines Today is a Gossip Channel than a News channel. I remember Dr. Abdul Kalam telling that the NEWS media’s support plays a key role in country’s development and it doesn’t seemed to have reached the brains of HT’s Management. They are more interested in Saif Ali Khan’s tattoo, Katrina Kaif and Bipasha’s fight than the events happening in the Country.
After I saw this ad, I was eager to know what have they done so refreshingly different to revive themselves. I switched over to that channel and saw Rakhi Sawant talking about some crap. The headlines being “Lebanese Girl Copied Rakhi” (and they call it EXCLUSIVE, how ridiculous?), I don’t know if this is what they call it NEWS! I even clicked a picture of my TV screen, but will put it up tomorrow.
If the HT’s management is reading this, I’ve got two words for you!
You can also read this on my other blog, MyScrapbook.

Hey! I saw that ad today. Its ridiculous .
Yeah Headlines Today looks like an Angrezi Hindi Channel phooie!
The Ad is a good piece of imagination, only that one has to agree that it is in complete opposition of what the channel actually stands for.A better version could have been showing it the other way round-other news channels dishing out news while HT says at the end-Who wants the Breaking News all the time…here we are with loads of entertainment in the garb of news.Have fun all day-Headlines Today!!
Hey,I even gave the wise guys a punchline there!
I saw the ad today as well. Brilliantly in contrast with what the channel usually displays. It is good entertainment value though. When you are in the moment for truth or dare, you can watch it and, as a group, play guessing games on:
a. what the next gossip will be
b. whether a news item is truth or lie
GCM
one of the most annoying ad that i have ever seen. I feel like never to eatch this channel after watching this ad.
